This Saturday (3), Woodley would face John hendricks to establish the next in line for the title. However, the former champion had problems with his weight cut and had to be hospitalized, which prevented him from continuing with his plans to fight.

Thus, Woodley will have the right to face the winner of the fight between Robbie Lawler, the category champion, and Carlos Condit, who will face each other on January 2nd – unless the fighter does not want to be inactive for so long and chooses to return before then.

"I'm disappointed. John hendricks Not making weight is a defeat for him and a victory for me. He wasn't prepared to fight, but I was. It's not the first time he's had problems, and that's part of being a professional. I shouldn't be penalized for not being able to compete. I’m ready to fight for the title and I think I deserve it,” said Woodley, according to the “FOX Sports” website.

Even without stepping into the Octagon, Woodley should normally receive his pay for the fight.
