The United States Anti-Doping Agency, USADA, released the list of athletes who underwent tests in this first phase of the partnership between the entity and the UFC.

In June, Ultimate announced that it would begin working together with USADA, which would randomly carry out anti-doping tests on all athletes on the organization's roster. And, between June and September, Ronda Rousey She was the most tested athlete, five times.

The UFC women's bantamweight champion defended her title this period, against Bethe Correia. The Brazilian woman was tested four times, the same number of Thiago Pitbull e Antonio Pezão – the latter, who also fought at UFC 190.

Among other prominent Brazilians, José Aldo, featherweight champion, passed two exams; Chris Cyborg, an Invicta FC fighter who is aiming for a move to the UFC in the future, also completed a couple of tests. Vitor belfort, in turn, was tested once.

In a report released this Thursday (1st), USADA stated that it paid a lot of attention to the work of educating athletes. “We seek to ensure that athletes receive the information they need to understand their rights and responsibilities under the new anti-doping program. Education is an extremely important pillar for an effective anti-doping program and is the first line of defense in protecting the rights of clean athletes,” he explained.
