“Steroids (Anderson Silva): one year. Cocaine (Jon Jones): no suspension. Marihuana (Nick Diaz): five years. That says it all. Honestly, what rubbish is this!” wrote former champion Tim Sylvia, in a similar tone to what Bellator champion Will Brooks and former Ultimate fighter and official commentator published. Kenny Florian. “I don't agree with breaking the rules, but it's crazy to give Diaz a 5-year suspension for marijuana, but for Silva to only get a year for STEROIDS”, said Will. “When you put into context what the punishment of the Anderson Silva compared to that of the Nick Diaz, the Athletic Commission’s decision is pathetic”, commented Florian.
