On December 12th, the middleweight champion Chris Weidman puts his belt on the line against Luke Rockhold, but this was certainly not a topic that crossed the fighter's mind in the last few days. That's because Weidman just became a father for the first time and used social media to introduce his new heir.
“We are going home. I'm so excited to sleep in my bed instead of a chair for the first time in three days. Zero rest. #blessed”, wrote the champion, along with a photo that appears next to his wife and newborn son, on his profile on Twitter.
At 31, Chris Weidman has an undefeated professional record of 13 victories as a professional in MMA. In the co-main fight of UFC 194, an event headlined by José Aldo x Conor McGregor, the North American, who has victories over Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida e Vitor belfort, faces the former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold.
Married to Marivi Weidman, Chris is already the father of two other children, Chris Junior and Cassidy.
