The arrival of Conor McGregor to stardom has been bothering not only his potential opponents inside the Octagon, but also fighters from other UFC weight categories. Recently, the Irish “turned on the machine gun” and provoked several other athletes during a UFC press conference, which bothered one of those present, Luke Rockhold.

The next challenger for the middleweight belt has stated that McGregor is not as big as he thinks he is. “He is much smaller than he says he is, literally and figuratively. He's a good fighter, but he hasn't proven anything yet. He's the number one contender, not a champion. Let's see what he's capable of. I think he has a lot of holes in his game. He has an entire country supporting him, he knows how to talk, and that's great for the sport. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't entertained by him sometimes, but at other times I wanted to slap him. But he talks too much and compares himself to [Muhammad] Ali or even [Ronda] Rousey, and he's way below that. This takes time, so take the opportunity to build your path and train a little more in being humble”, said Rockhold, in an interview with the North American website “TMZ Sports”.

Rockhold and McGregor will fight for the next time at the same event. The two will take part in the main fights of UFC 194, on December 12th, in Las Vegas (USA). Rockhold will face Chris Weidman for the middleweight title and McGregor, interim featherweight champion, will unify the belts against José Aldo, holder of the linear title.
