Despite being the strong man behind the biggest MMA organization on the planet, and certainly not living on a limited budget, UFC president Dana White is known for using very simple cell phones, the kind that open and close (model flip). But, recently, a police investigation, the result of a collective lawsuit by former athletes against Ultimate, caused the leader to finally surrender to the very modern iPhone, from Apple, according to official commentator Joe Rogan.

“Dana White came to me on Saturday night, after the fights, took out his iPhone and said 'look at this'”, said Rogan, in his personal podcast. “He has an iPhone now. They made him use an iPhone because he's under investigation, so they have to be able to track him all the time, they're being sued (by the athletes), there's a lot of things going on,” he added, explaining the situation to his guest Tom Safe.

The process that Rogan refers to is a collective action valued at more than US$100 million (R$379 million, at current prices) led by former UFC athletes, including Jon Fitch, Nate Quarry and Cung le, for which the fighters accuse the organization of monopoly and anti-competition policies in the MMA market.
