Fedor Emelianenko He is considered the greatest heavyweight in the history of MMA, for many the greatest fighter in the history of the sport, and is idolized to this day. Therefore, when he announced that he was going to return to the ring and the possibility of him finally signing with the UFC was raised, Fedor left fans apprehensive. So anxious that a two-character comment from Ultimate President Dana White in a post about the legendary Russian could be a reason to fire up the fans.
A fan profile of Fedor, called “Emelianenko_MMA”, published a photomontage in which Dana White appears alongside the Russian in a face-off. Seeing the post, Dana, with her official profile, commented on the image with a happy face “:)”. Thousands of fans understood the response as a sign that Ultimate could be close to reaching a deal with the fighter and filled the page with comments and likes.
At 38, Fedor Emelianenko has a professional record of 34 wins, four losses and one fight without result. PRIDE heavyweight champion from 2003 until the end of the event in 2007, Fedor maintained one of the longest undefeated streaks in history, after going without being defeated between 2000 and 2010. The “Last Emperor”'s unbeaten streak came to an end with the surprising submission suffered in the first round for the Brazilian Fabricio Werdum in Strikeforce, to this day one of the biggest upsets in the history of MMA.
