Next opponents for the UFC lightweight belt, Donald Cerrone e Rafael dos Anjos they exchanged some provocations recently. The American accused the Brazilian of doping, which provoked an angry response from the lightweight champion. However, it was all just a joke by the title challenger.

In an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”, Cerrone admitted that he has no suspicions about Dos Anjos, and that his intention, in fact, was just to provoke the champion. “I was just trying to piss him off. And that. I don't know. Maybe he's working hard and doing what he needs to do. I just wanted to annoy him, just making fun of him,” he explained.

The fighters have always maintained a respectful relationship publicly, but that changed with the recent provocations. Cerrone explained that it was a statement from the Brazilian that changed his stance. “Everything was fine [between them], but then he started saying he was going to give me a beating like no one has done before… So, I turn my back and you start teasing me? So let's go. Then I called him Frankenstein and said he uses steroids”, he commented.

Dos Anjos and Cerrone are in the main fight of UFC on FOX 17, an event that will take place on December 19th in Orlando, United States. The two have faced each other before, with the Brazilian winning by the judges' decision.
