Still not completely recovered from an old injury, Brazilian Roan Jucão ended up being cut from UFC Fight Night 73, an event scheduled for September 23 in Japan. Jucão's departure caused the Ultimate organization to act quickly and announce the north -American Uriah Hall as a new opponent Gegard Mousasi on fight night.

At 31, Uriah Hall has a professional record of 11 wins and five losses. The New York athlete became famous during the 17th edition of the The Ultimate Fighter, when he earned the nickname “Ambulance Man” for sending all of his opponents in the tournament to the hospital. However, Hall ended up surprised by Kelvin Gastelum and finished runner-up in the reality show. Uriah is coming off a victory over Oluwale Bamgbose on August 8th.
