Fedor Emelianenko confirms presence at Bellator promotional event in September

Fedor Emelianenko will be the main highlight of the promotional events for the mega-event produced by Bellator next month, in San Jose, California (USA). The Russian will be alongside two other MMA legends, Kazushi Sakuraba and Ken Shamrock, at the “Bellator Fan Fest”, which will take place a few days before Bellator Dynamite.

The organization's president, Scott Coker, clarified that the Russian's participation in the event is not related to a possible signing of the fighter, who recently announced that he will return to MMA competitions after three years of retirement.

However, Fedor's participation in an official Bellator event, the UFC's main competitor, reduces the Russian's chances of signing with the biggest MMA organization on the planet in the near future.

Bellator Dynamite will be held on September 19th, with MMA and kickboxing fights. Among the highlights are the fight between Tito Ortiz and Liam McGeary, for the light heavyweight belt, and the first round of a GP with fighters up to 93 kg, with Phil Davis, King mo, Emanuel Newton and Linton Vassell.
