Dos Anjos defends lightweight belt against Cerrone in December

Rafael dos Anjos He already has the day and place to make his first defense of the UFC lightweight belt. It will be on December 19th, in Orlando, Florida (USA), when he will face Donald Cerrone at UFC on FOX 17.

The fight, which will be broadcast on open television in the United States, will mark a rematch between the two athletes in the under-70 kg division. The two faced each other for the first time in August 2013, with the Brazilian prevailing in the judges' unanimous decision.

In his last fight, Dos Anjos defeated the then champion, Anthony Pettis, to become the first Brazilian to triumph at lightweight. Cerrone has won all eight of his duels since losing to Dos Anjos, the last being against John makdessiin May.

This is the only fight confirmed so far for UFC on FOX 17, which will be the last event to be organized by Ultimate in 2015. Interestingly, the first time the UFC arrived in Orlando, both Dos Anjos and Cerrone were on the card . The Brazilian suffered his last defeat, to Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Cerrone finished Edson Barboza.
