Dan Hardy on Marcus Davis: “He needs to calm down”

The controversy between the welterweights Dan hardy e Marcus Davis added another chapter this Thursday. After Davis declared that he wished his rival's death from AIDS (remember here), the Englishman promptly responded to his opponent's statements and stated that his opponent is very nervous.

“Yes, I saw (Davis’ statement) and laughed a lot. I think he needs to calm down”, said Hardy, who justified the provocations made to Marcus during the UFC-99 press conference.

“I think he just needs to relax a little bit. I did everything with good humor, I didn't say anything bad or anything malicious. It was funny things,” she explained.

The rivalry between Dan Hardy and Marcus Davis began at UFC-99, where during the press conference the Englishman stated that Marcus, an American with Irish ancestry, was a “fake Irishman”. In the confrontation, Dan got the better of the referees' split decision, a result that caused controversy in the specialized media and further increased the disaffection between them. This Wednesday, Davis spiced up the relationship even more when he posted on Twitter that he wished Dan's death from the AIDS virus.
