Cyborg says he accepted a fight with Ronda, but the champion preferred Miesha Tate

According to the Brazilian, the offer was made shortly after Rousey's triumph over Bethe Pitbull, at UFC 190, in Rio

The long-awaited fight between Ronda Rousey e Chris Cyborg, for many the biggest confrontation in women's MMA today, was closer to getting off the ground than one might imagine. At least that's what Cyborg herself guarantees. According to the Brazilian, the Ultimate organization even offered her a fight against Ronda right after UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, but the champion opted for the name Miesha Tate as the next title challenger.

“I agreed to fight, but she (Ronda) chose to fight Miesha in December. These people who say I don't deserve to fight Ronda... It's okay that they think I don't deserve it, but this fight is much bigger than me and Ronda. Fans want to see this fight. I'm ready. I'm ready. They know, I already accepted and they changed their mind. They just don’t want to do this fight now”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.

The North American website “MMA Mania” reported the UFC's offer to Cyborg last week. According to the publication, which spoke to the Brazilian's training partner and former manager Tito Ortiz, the proposal was that the fight between Cyborg and Ronda would take place at UFC 194, which takes place on December 5th, and has been speculated to be at the “Cowboys Stadium”, a stadium for more than 100 thousand fans of the Dallas Cowboys, from the NFL (League professional American football).

Shortly thereafter, President Dana White denied the offer. “This is a complete lie. It's 100% a lie. For starters, the UFC doesn't even talk to Tito Ortiz, so let's start from there. But we didn't offer Cyborg a fight. Tito Ortiz is making this up. In no way did we make an offer for her to fight Ronda at Cowboys Stadium. This is completely false”, assured the director, to “Yahoo Sports”.
