Booed, Glover Teixeira makes weight and confirms duel against St. Preux at UFC FN 73

The UFC Fight Night 73 main attraction fighters had no problem breaking the light heavyweight division limit for this Saturday's event (8). Former challenger for the category title, Glover Teixeira stayed within the weight allowed in the division, and his opponent, Ovince St Preux, hit the mark using the extra pound of tolerance.

St. Preux, who fights in the state where he lives, Tennessee, stepped on the scale first to applause from the audience and weighed 93,4 kg. Then it was Glover's turn, who, booed, was 200 grams short.

The rest of the weigh-in for UFC FN 73 went without any major scares. A moment of apprehension was when Sara McMann, opponent of the Brazilian Amanda nunes, it was 300 grams above the permitted weight. She only managed to reach the limit after the weigh-in ended, when she returned to the stage and, with a towel, reached 61,6 kg. Nunes reached exactly the same mark, confirming Saturday's fight.

The other man who didn't make weight was flyweight Ray Borg, who faces Geane Herrera in the opening of the main card of the attraction. Even naked, the athlete was 300 grams above the division limit.
