In your last fight, Claudia Gadelha achieved an authoritative victory over Jessica Aguilar and confirmed her position as the next contender for the UFC women's strawweight title. However, the fight held last Saturday (1st) ended up being costly for the Brazilian.

Claudinha posted a photo on her Instagram of her left hand, which she ended up getting injured during her victory in the judges' decision. The fingers, especially the middle and index fingers, appear quite swollen, as do the wrist area. “Bones of the trade”, wrote the fighter, in the caption.

Due to the injury, Gadelha received a six-month medical suspension, which could be reversed if she presents an x-ray exam that proves her recovery. Interestingly, the category champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, also injured his hand in his last fight, against Jessica penne. Thus, the two will only face each other at the end of the year.
