Barão is scared, but gets naked and makes weight for a rematch against Dillashaw for the UFC title

Renan Barao e TJ Dillashaw made weight for UFC on FOX 16 and confirmed their rematch in the fight for the Ultimate bantamweight title, this Saturday (25), in Chicago, in the United States.

Barão, who had withdrawn at the last minute the first time the rematch was scheduled, in August last year, due to being unable to make weight, had a little scare when he stepped on the scale. In his first attempt, wearing only his underwear, the Brazilian weighed 61,4 kg, 200 grams above the limit allowed in fights valid for the belt.

Visibly scared, Barão then got naked and used the towel, thus managing to reach the weight. Dillashaw had a calm weigh-in and weighed 61,2 kg while still wearing his underwear.

After stepping off the scale, the two stared at each other, with Dillashaw holding his fists up. The Brazilian guaranteed that the result of the rematch will be different compared to the first fight between the two, in May last year, when he lost by technical knockout. “I am very happy with the opportunity. Tomorrow will be another story, you can be sure,” he said.

All fighters participating in the event managed to make weight, including the muses Miesha Tate e Jessica Eye, who make the second most important fight of the night. The other Brazilian in the attraction is Edson Barboza, which faces the undefeated North American Paul felder.
