Shortly after the victory of Conor McGregor about Chad Mendes at UFC 189, Wanderlei Silva went to social media and suggested that the Irishman's conquest of the featherweight belt could have been the result of a “frame” by the directors of the largest MMA organization on the planet. This time, however, “Crazy Dog” went further and, when commenting on the dismissal of cutman Jacob Stitch for having criticized the contract with Reebok, he assured that he had evidence to confirm his version.

“They have no respect for anyone. I have already made it very clear to you that I will never fight for this event again. 'UFCirco'! Bought fights, I can prove it! I haven’t dropped the bomb yet, I haven’t said everything I know”, assured the former champion of the extinct PRIDE, through a publication on his official profile on Instagram.

Speaking about the Stitch episode, Wand compared the situation of cutman with his own and questioned the organization's different treatment of both cases. “They fired him, that’s right. They fired Stich for taking a stand against this theft that is being carried out against athletes. So I ask, why don't they fire me? I already said that I don't want to and won't work for this event anymore, and they won't fire me. This is what happens to those who tell the truth in this company: they are chased away”, he said.

The UFC has not yet officially commented following the allegations of Wanderlei Silva, whether to defend himself against the ex-fighter's comments or even to communicate that he will take legal action against him. Wand is currently awaiting judgment on his appeal against the Nevada Athletic Commission, which definitively banned him from MMA in the state after the episode in which he escaped a surprise drug test in 2014. Since then, the Brazilian has declared “war” to Ultimate and has become the “number one enemy” of the organization and president Dana White.
