However, the show was not good for the country's athletes. In the main fight of the night, Michael Bisping won the battle against Thales leites in the judges' split decision.

With the support of the fans, Bisping started the fight with a lot of movement, leaving the Brazilian's range of action. In the only moment he managed to close the distance, Leites attempted the takedown, but ended up falling underneath. Even so, he worked on the inversion and ended the first round on his rival's back.

In the fourth round, Leites tried to repeat the feat from the previous round and immediately went after his rival. But fatigue seems to have taken away some of the intensity of the attack. With better movement and physical preparation, Bisping shortened the distance to hit and leave.

In the fifth and final round, Thales leites opened the game and went to decide the fight. The Brazilian walked forward and threw several punches. However, with the movement up to date, Bisping managed to dodge most of the attacks.

Even so, the Nova União athlete managed to corner his rival on two occasions and land good punches, but without achieving a knockout. At the end of the fight, the two athletes greeted each other and the crowd gave them a standing ovation.

He has good takedown defense, and if I tried all the time, maybe I could do it. But I believed in my hand, which wasn’t enough to win.”

Ivan Batman is finished

Specialist in ground fighting, Ivan Batman suffered defeat in Scotland in his specialty. The Brazilian was submitted for the first time in his career against Leon edwards, which has also caught the controversial Conor McGregor, current interim champion in the organization.

The combat

The Irishman took advantage of the opportunity, placed the right triangle, with no chance of defense, and forced Batman to give up the fight in just over three minutes.

Leonardo Macarrão is knocked out

First Brazilian to climb into the octagon, Leonardo Macarrão failed to score his second consecutive victory in the UFC. After successfully debuting in the lightweight division in March, the athlete from Santa Catarina ended up being knocked out by home athlete Stevie Ray.

With the support of the crowd, Ray went on the attack in the first few seconds and connected two kicks to Macarrão's head, who managed to defend himself well. The Scot found the distance right at the beginning of the dispute and worked with combinations of blows, while the Brazilian only worked with kicks to his rival's legs.

Ray took advantage of Macarrão's difficulties in releasing hand strikes and connected with a powerful punch to the Brazilian's chin. Leo felt it and even bent his knee. With the good moment, the home athlete put the Santa Catarina native against the bars and landed several blows. The Brazilian still defended himself well, but when he tried to open up the game and accept the open exchange of punches, he ended up being caught again.

Macarrão bent his knee, went to the ground and suffered the punishment until the referee ended the dispute 2m27s into the duel.
