The UFC released the first image of actor José Loreto characterized as José Aldo for the biopic about the featherweight champion. The film, which is still filming in progress, will debut in theaters next year.
The photo shows Loreto with a haircut and beard similar to Aldo's, in addition to the Brazilian fighter's characteristic scar on the left side of his face. The image doesn't show it, but the actor also has the champion's tattoo on his left shoulder, which features several skulls – which represent each of his victims in the fights.
The film, a production in partnership between the UFC, the production company Black Maria and Paris Filmes, also has confirmed the participation of Cléo Pires, who will play Aldo's girlfriend, Milhem Cortaz, who will play the fighter's trainer, Dedé Pederneiras, and Rômulo Neto.
