With the absence of the champion José Aldo, who left the card due to a rib injury, UFC 189 was headlined by a title fight between Conor McGregor e Chad Mendes, in a confrontation that will define the Brazilian's next opponent in the title unification. Before facing each other in the octagon, however, McGregor and Mendes have an appointment with the scales, at the official weigh-in for the event.

This Friday (10), the athletes on the card meet on the stage set up at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA), to make weight, confirm the duels and star in the traditional face-offs. The only Brazilian representative at the event, the bantamweight Thominhas Almeida fight that opens the main card, against the British Brad pickett.

In addition to the duel between Mendes and McGregor for the featherweight title, UFC 189 will also feature a welterweight title fight between the champion Robbie Lawler and the Canadian challenger Rory McDonald.
