Jason wants to prove innocence in doping case and take legal action against CABMMA

Ron Jason, caught undergoing an anti-doping test after his last fight, is confident in his innocence and intends to take legal action against the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission, responsible for requesting the test that came back positive.

The TUF Brazil 1 champion submitted Damon Jackson in Goiânia, at the end of May, but soon afterwards he was caught with the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide. The fight was reversed to no-contest and the fighter was suspended for nine months.

However, Jason is completely sure that he is innocent and intends to show this in the re-examination. “CABMMA informed me that the countertest will be carried out on July 7th. My lawyer is going to Las Vegas to closely monitor the entire procedure. I will do everything I can to reverse this result. After the result is reversed, we will sue CABMMA for moral and material damages”, he said, to the North American website “MMA Fighting”.
