Ultimate recently began a partnership with the United States Anti-Doping Agency, USADA, and will carry out random drug tests on all fighters it has under contract.
According to the North American website “MMA Fighting”, CABMMA leaders met in Rio de Janeiro with representatives from USADA and the Brazilian Doping Control Authority to define the procedures that will be adopted at events in Brazil.
A partnership between the three bodies will facilitate testing of athletes who will participate in events in Brazilian territory, whether they are training in the country or abroad. According to the website, the agreement should be signed within a week.
