For the third time in its history, the second in just over a year, the Irish capital Dublin will host an edition of the biggest MMA event on the planet. The Ultimate organization announced this Tuesday (30) that Ireland will be the home of UFC Fight Night 77, on October 24th. The event will take place at “3Arena”, formerly “The O2”, the same venue as previous editions.
No fights have been announced for the card. However, hardly the biggest national star in the octagon, Conor McGregor, will be part of the program – as it was in July 2014, when he hit Diego Brandao in the main fight of UFC FN 46. This is because McGregor already has a commitment for the belt on the 11th, in Las Vegas (USA), when he will fight for the interim featherweight belt against Chad Mendes.
The first time the UFC arrived in Ireland was in January 2009, with UFC 93, headlined by the fight between Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin.
