Almost seven months after the announcement that, for the first time in its history, it would have uniforms for its athletes, the UFC finally presented the clothes that will be exclusive to the Octagon for the next few years. In partnership with Reebok, with whom it signed a million-dollar contract at the end of last year, the organization used its biggest stars to showcase the new clothes made especially for the fighters at a press conference held in New York (USA).
The big news of the announcement was the division of uniforms, which, a priori, will respect two criteria: the nationality of the fighters and the fact that they are champions or not. Thus, from now on, the champions of the largest MMA organization on the planet will be distinguished from the rest, among other factors, by their uniforms in shades of black and gold.
The national uniforms will initially only be available in ten versions: Brazil, Japan, Korea, Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Russia and Mexico. The name chosen to represent the Brazilian version of the outfit was the candidate for the middleweight title Ronaldo Jacare. Among everyone present, however, the one who stole the show was Conor McGregor, who was the last to be called to the stage and had a prominent position in the exhibition, right in the center of the line of fighters.
In addition to the colors that refer to the flags, the models will also feature exclusive personalization for the athletes, with the inscription of their names. If the fighter does not fit into either of the two groups mentioned, there will also be the option for a “generic kit”, with standard colors and without other references.

The UFC and Reebok uniforms do not yet have an official date when they will hit the shelves and be available to fans, but the expectation is that this will happen in July, when the agreement between the organization and the sports equipment brand comes into effect. validity. The models' debut in the octagon is scheduled for July 11th, in Las Vegas (USA), at UFC 189, an event that will feature a featherweight title fight between Conor McGregor e José Aldo as the main fight.
