“Team McGregor”, which already has several fans and even star Jean Claude Van Damme, has just gained another weight gain. Friend of the Irish challenger, actor and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger was full of praise for the fighter and classified him as one of the greatest names in the sport of all time.

“Conor is probably one of the greatest athletes of all time. He has the right combination of physique, mind and talent. This connects so well with him, and I believe it is very important in sports that you believe, 100%, in your victory. See victory, achieve it. That's the way things are. He’s great”, said Arnold, in an interview with the website “JOE”, during the promotion tour for the new film in the “Terminator” franchise.

A former bodybuilding athlete before entering the world of Hollywood, Schwarzenegger said that McGregor reminds him of himself when he was younger. “McGregor is a really fun guy to hang out with and he’s really good at improvising. It reminds me a little of the way I was when I was still growing up as bodybuilder. The only way to get noticed is if you say shocking things. He does this to get noticed, and because of that, he's a great wrestler, and because of his personality, he's becoming a sales sensation. His fight (against Aldo) will be sold out everywhere and he will reach the highest audience”, said the eternal “T-800”.

Finally, Schwarzenegger stated that he hopes to have McGregor's company on the big screen, as soon as the fighter feels ready to make such a transition. "I hope so. I think every athlete should think beyond their sports career. An athletic career only goes so far. You can stretch it until you're thirty or even close to forty. From then on, it's time to think about change, even if it's within the sport itself. If he wants to become a promoter, actor, commentator, politician or run a charity project, I think it would be great to expand,” he concluded.
