Next Tuesday, June 30th, will play a fundamental role in the future of the UFC 189 main fight, between José Aldo e Conor McGregor. Injured in his rib, the featherweight champion must return to training and decide whether or not he is capable of participating in the event, which will take place on July 11th in Las Vegas (USA).

According to Jonas Bilharinho, former featherweight and bantamweight champion of the Jungle Fight and sparring Aldo for the fight, the Nova União athlete must make a final decision within the next 24 hours. “He's in a little pain, but there are pains he can handle during the fight and there are those he can't. We will test it on Tuesday. Tuesday will be the big day”, he said, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”.

PUBLICITY:

Despite Aldo's pain, Bilharinho believes that the main fight of UFC 189 should be maintained. “I think he will probably fight. And I hope that's the case. I will be with him on Tuesday to see what he is capable of doing during training, but in my opinion, he will struggle. I'm being optimistic because Aldo really wants this fight”, he bet.
