The M-1 Global organization assessed the first edition of Yarennoka, an event held on December 31st, at the Saitama Super Arena, as a success. The event was exciting and promises to be a strong competitor in the world of MMA in 2008. The eight fights on the program excited the Japanese public present at the venue and thousands of Americans who watched the PPV.
“We are pleased to have supported Yarennoka. Fedor clearly demonstrated why he is the number 1 fighter in the world. I'm happy that MMA fans in the United States were able to watch the fight live on HDnet. The success of the event demonstrates the synergy that can be created when MMA organizations from around the world come together to create a particular event,” said Bob Clark, head of operations at M-1 Global.
Main star of the show, Fedor Emelianenko He was also grateful for returning to the country where he established himself in the MMA world. “I'm happy to be able to fight in Japan once again. The fight was for all the fans. If possible, I hope to return to Japan to fight again”, said the Russian into the microphone.
