Hendo defeated T. Boetsch in the main fight of UFC FN 68
He couldn't even get out. Even at 44 years of age, the veteran Dan Henderson he needed just 28 seconds to run over Tim Boetsch in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 68, an event held in the early hours of this Sunday (07), in New Orleans, in the United States. Hendo's victory came with the traditional and feared 'h-bomb', the North American's right punch that has already knocked out several opponents.

With the triumph, Dan Henderson scored the 31st victory in his career and recovered from a sequence of two series losses. Furthermore, the veteran has completely rejected the possibility of retirement.
The fight
Dan Henderson entered the Octagon as an underdog against Tim Boetsch. But it only took a few seconds for Hendo to show all his talent. In the first few moves, Boetsch looked for the fight and went after Dan. But, quick on the trigger, Hendo released the counterattack and connected with a straight right to his rival's chin. The punch stunned Tim.
Wasting no time, Henderson continued the punishment until Boetsch fell and the referee ended the contest.
“When I say I'm not done, people don't believe me. I feel really good fighting and I just have to thank everyone who came to see the event tonight. I felt like he felt the right blow, and I even hit him with my knee, but I think it was the uppercut that ended the fight. I've been here for a while, and people still want to see me,” said Hendo still in the octagon.
Rothwell submits Mitrione and asks for a title shot
In the second most important fight of the night, Ben Rothwell didn't give time for bad luck and ran over Matt Mitrione. In the heavyweight duel, Mitrione started the fight without wanting to touch gloves with his rival and took the initiative. Matt preferred not to engage in a frank exchange of blows and kept the fight at medium distance. However, a movement error decided the fight in favor of Rothwell.
Mitrione shortened it and looked for the takedown, but Ben defended himself very well and grabbed Matt's neck, trying to get a guillotine choke. Despite the choke not being well placed, Rothwell even twisted his rival's neck to force the withdrawal after just 1m54s of the fight.
With the victory, Rothwell reached his third consecutive victory in the UFC and asked for the chance to fight for the category belt against the winner of Cain Velazquez, current champion, and the Brazilian Fabricio Werdum, interim champion, who will face off next weekend.
Brazilians are defeated
UFC Fight Night 68 also featured two Brazilians in action. Ricardo Demente ended up defeated for Jake Collier in the judges' decision e Thiago tavares also fell to Brian Ortega.
