Known for being quite reserved and familiar, the middleweight champion Chris Weidman chose a much more extravagant way to celebrate his triumph over Vitor belfort, last Saturday (23), when he defended his belt with a knockout in the first round. Weidman participated in a pool party, pool party, in a Las Vegas casino with boxer, and professional showman, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The celebration with Mayweather was recorded by Weidman himself through a post on social media. “Having fun with Floyd Mayweather”, wrote the champion on his official profile on Instagram, along with a photo of him appearing next to “Money”.
At 30, Chris Weidman he now has a professional record of 13 wins in 13 fights. Since he became middleweight champion in July 2013, when he beat Anderson Silva, Weidman only faced Brazilians. First, the North American beat Spider again in the rematch between them, then it was his turn to go through Lyoto Machida and, last weekend, came the triumph over Belfort. The “All American” may still have another Tupiniquim athlete ahead of him, as Ronaldo Jacare fight head to head with Luke Rockhold the position of next challenger for the title of the under 84 kg category.
