Winner of the “Fight of the Century” against Manny Pacquiao, on May 2, Floyd Mayweather even stated that he would give his rival a rematch when he was ready to fight again. However, the highest-paid athlete in the world backtracked and said he does not intend to do business with the Filipino again, with whom he declared himself disappointed.

Mayweather did not like Pacquiao's attitude in revealing that he entered the ring with a shoulder injury. For the American, the statement was an attempt by Pacquiao to give his fans an excuse for the defeat. “Did I say I would face him again? Yes, but I changed my mind. Right now, I wouldn't face him again, because he's a sore loser, a coward. It was a cowardly attitude. I'm a professional guy and I don't want to do business with him anymore”, said Mayweather, in an interview with “Showtime”.

“He is ashamed. There's a difference between a great fighter and the best, and I've proven that I'm the best. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I knew this would happen. I'm not going to fall for that and I don't want the public to fall for that. He lost, he knows he lost, and I lost a lot of respect for him after all this. If you lose, that's okay. Just say: 'He was better than me'. A real champion can turn things around. This is ridiculous. I won, I know I won and I know I'm the best. If we fight 100 times, I will win 100 times. He will never be at my level, simple as that”, continued the American.

With the victory over Pacquiao, Mayweather expanded his professional boxing record to 48 victories in 48 fights. Furthermore, the American received a multimillion-dollar payment, taking home US$200 million just for getting into the ring.
