Just over two months before having the long-awaited rematch against TJ Dillashaw for the UFC bantamweight belt, Renan Barao he spared no words towards his old rival. The Brazilian, who will try to regain the title at UFC on FOX 16, on July 25, criticized the North American's behavior after winning the belt in May last year.

At UFC 173, Dillashaw shocked the MMA world by completely dominating Barão, crowning his impeccable performance by obtaining a technical knockout in the fifth round, which ended an unbeaten run that had lasted almost ten years for the Brazilian. With the rematch scheduled, Barão expressed his contempt for Dillashaw's stance.

“I looked him in the eye and told him I would beat him. I don't like him because he talks a lot of shit. He’s not a champion, he’s a clown,” he said, in a press conference reproduced by the North American website “MMA Fighting”. “Dillashaw has had one title defense and already thinks he is the best champion in the world.”

A few months after winning the belt, Dillashaw defended the title against Joe Soto, at UFC 177, in a fight in which he was originally going to face Barão. The Brazilian is coming off a victory over Mitch Gagnon, in December 2014, in Barueri.
