After a week-long break without events during the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, the UFC is back this Saturday (9). UFC Fight Night 65, which will be held in Adelaide, Australia, will pit two heavyweights face to face who, after losing, are looking to get back on track with their eyes on a chance to compete for the division's belt.

Stipe Miocic e Mark Hunt were, until recently, very close to the dreamed chance of challenging the current heavyweight champion, Cain Velazquez. In November last year, Hunt was called up at the last minute to fight for the interim belt against Fabricio Werdum, in Mexico, but, after an encouraging start to the fight, the “Super Samoan” was knocked out with a beautiful flying knee from the Brazilian.
The following month, it was Miocic's turn to succumb to a Brazilian fighter. At UFC on FOX 13, the North-American of Croatian descent gave a big fight to junior gypsy, but ended up being defeated by the judges' decision.
So, on Australian soil, Hunt and Miocic try to turn things around, knowing that a strong performance will be enough to put the winner back within reach of a title fight. For fans, the expectation is to see a fight full of action, starring two athletes who specialize in striking and who tend to act aggressively.
The rest of the card, without the presence of Brazilian fighters, ends up drawing attention due to smaller details. The hard but not exciting Brad Tavares faces, in the second most important fight of the night, the TUF Smashes champion Robert whittaker.
At the opening of the main card, a duel of promises between Jake matthews and James Vick, who don't know what it's like to lose in professional MMA. Already the friendly Sam alvey, executioner of Cezar Mutant at the UFC in Porto Alegre, in February, he will once again try to silence the local fans in a fight against the undefeated Australian Dan Kelly.
