Pacquiao promises to donate R$150 million from his purse in the 'fight of the century' to charity

Manny Pacquiao was unable to break Floyd Mayweather's unbeaten record in the fight of the century in boxing, held in the early hours of this Sunday (03), in Las Vegas. “Pacquiao has already told me that he doesn’t care about money. He doesn't even like to talk about scholarships. And he told me he will donate $50 million of what he earned from the Mayweather fight to charity. That’s why Pacquiao is the person he is and remains loved by the whole world,” Arum told the press after the fight.

Pacquiao's generous action contrasts with Mayweahter's wasteful style. The North American, who pocketed US$200 million to fight, has a collection of sports cars, diamond-studded jewelry and even goes as far as not repeating the use of clothes and sneakers, discarding the pieces after use in hotels.
