Quinton Rampage Jackson is back on the UFC 186 card, which takes place this Saturday (25) in Montreal, Canada. Withdrawn from the fight against Fábio Maldonado by decision of the North American court, the fighter returned to the schedule after the injunction that prevented his return to the octagon was overturned this Tuesday.

Rampage was removed from UFC 186 after the New Jersey Supreme Court detected irregularities in the termination of his contract with Bellator, where he had competed in recent years. Thus, the North American fighter, UFC light heavyweight champion between 2007 and 2008, was replaced by local fighter Steve Bosse in the attraction.

However, the very Rampage came out publicly to share the news that he had returned to the UFC 186 card. “It’s time to pay some bills! The fight is back, boys!”, wrote the fighter on his Instagram account. Minutes later, the UFC officially confirmed his return to the attraction.

“We are happy with the New Jersey Court’s decision that allows Rampage fight in Montreal on Saturday night. I'm looking forward to seeing Rampage back to the octagon”, celebrated UFC president, Dana White.

According to information from the North American press, Rampage he continued training normally for the fight against Maldonado even after the initial court decision, which removed him from the card, had been made. However, the fight against the Brazilian will take place at a combined weight of 97 kg. Thus, he will make his first fight in the octagon since January 2013, when he lost to another Brazilian, Glover Teixeira. Bosse, in turn, was completely removed from the card, but will receive payment from the UFC equal to what he would receive if he fought.
