Luke Rockhold He hasn't even been confirmed as a future challenger for the UFC middleweight belt yet, but his likely fight against the division's current champion, Chris Weidman, already divides opinions in the MMA world. Current tenth place in the official ranking of the category, Michael Bisping believes that Rockhold would be the favorite over Weidman.

“I would point out Luke’s favoritism in this fight,” said Bisping, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”. The Englishman, who was defeated in his last fight by Rockhold, via submission, added that he still has doubts about Weidman's potential and that the champion may be letting his current success go to his head.

“I'm still not convinced with Weidman. Sorry. I'm still not convinced. No Offense. I know he's getting a little smug since he's the champion. It’s starting to go to his head a little”, analyzed the Englishman.

Thus, Bisping is betting that Rockhold will become champion this year, although he believes his reign will be temporary. “Luke Rockhold will beat Weidman later this year. I'm going to beat someone in the middle of the year and then I'll have my rematch with Rockhold. He headbutted me in that fight [between them] and, in a year, I will be the champion. There it is”, concluded the Englishman.

Bisping will return to the Octagon next weekend, when he will face CB Dollaway in the co-main event of UFC 186. Weidman will defend his belt for the third time next month, against Vitor belfort, at UFC 187. Rockhold, who ran over Lyoto Machida last Saturday (18), he still doesn't know if his next fight will be for the belt, as he's competing with Ronaldo Jacare the position of number one challenger.
