Luke Rockhold expect to dominate Lyoto Machida in the main fight of UFC on FOX 15, this Saturday (18), and win the right to be the next athlete to challenge for the North American organization's middleweight belt. The fighter considers himself superior to the Brazilian in all areas and believes that his stance inside the octagon will cause problems for his rival.

“The chance to compete for the title is mine and I will take it. That's what's going to happen. I think I'll get there and dominate the fight. I impose several threats on him and I can fight in many ways that no one can. Machida doesn't like angles and doesn't like being pressured. I can trade with him, I can get the better of him in wrestling and grappling, and I can get the better of him standing up”, analyzed Rockhold, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”.

Even though Machida's specialty is stand-up fighting, through karate, Rockhold believes that the Brazilian is not unbeatable. “Machida probably thinks he has better striking, but he probably thought he was a better striker than Shogun, Weidman and Jon Jones. But they managed to exchange better than him,” she recalled.

Furthermore, the North American promises to use his qualities to get the better of the fight. “My footwork and my assessment of the distance will be fundamental. He won't be prepared for that. I will control the octagon and keep the pressure on him. I have five rounds for this, so I don't need to force myself and get frustrated. I’ll take as long as it takes,” he concluded.
