Opponent of Lyoto Machida on April 18, in the main fight of UFC on FOX 15, Luke Rockhold he may have further fueled the mood for the fight against the Brazilian by harshly criticizing one of Dragão's best friends. Commenting on the former champion's doping case Anderson Silva, caught in anti-doping tests before and after UFC 183 due to the use of anabolic steroids and anxiolytics, Rockhold did not mince his words and was emphatic in labeling Spider a “cheater”.

"I do not understand this. A cheater is a cheater and he should pay the penalties, there should be no difference. Everyone looks at this case differently because he doesn't have an impressive physique like Vitor (Belfort) and other guys who are much bigger. I think people just don't want to believe it because they've looked up to him for so long. A cheater is a cheater to me. Everyone should be treated equally. It shouldn't matter if it's the Anderson Silva or any other fighter”, said the former champion of the extinct Strikeforce, in an interview with the website of the North American channel “FOX Sports”.

Rockhold also positioned himself in favor of the new zero tolerance policy against doping announced by the UFC, which can have punishments of up to four years. “I agree 100%, I agree with four years. A lot of people think that they (the athletes caught) shouldn't even come back. If you cheat in this sport, you should feel it. Take a big part out of their career, because this is fighting. We're not playing ball sports here. You're coming in here with a lethal weapon. We are fighting and trying to hurt each other. One year… two years… I think four years is great”, he assessed.

Luke Rockhold face Lyoto Machida on April 18, in Newark (USA), in the main fight of UFC on FOX 15. On the same night, the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare will face the Cuban Yoel romero. Although there is no confirmation from Ultimate, it is expected that one of the four athletes will be the next challenger for the middleweight belt, against the winner of Chris Weidman e Vitor belfort, who face each other in May.
