Once again, as happens when individual performances are more exciting than a particular fight, the Ultimate organization chose to award four athletes with the “Performance of the Night” bonus when choosing a fight. Those chosen for the award were: Chad Mendes, Julianna Pena, Dustin poirier and Tim Johnson. For the bonuses, Chad, Julianna, Dustin and Tim took home US$50 (R$156) each.
Coincidentally, or not, the four were the authors of the only knockouts of the event. Chad Mendes beat Ricardo Lamas unquestionably in the main fight of the night. Already Julianna Pena, the muse of Venezuelan descent, returned to the octagon after almost a year and a half away and beat Russian Milana Dudieva. Finally, Dustin poirier surpassed the Brazilian Carlos Diego Ferreira in the first round, as well as Tim Johnson, who achieved victory over Shamil Abdurakhimov in the second fight of the preliminary card.
