Glover Teixeira saw his situation in the UFC change from water to wine in a short period of time. The Brazilian, who boasted an unbeaten record of almost ten years in professional MMA, including five consecutive victories in the octagon, recently suffered two defeats in a row, to Jon Jones, in a fight valid for the title, and Phil Davis. Even so, Teixeira denies any type of pressure at the beginning of preparations for his next fight, against the former title challenger Alexander Gustafson.

The Minas Gerais native, who will face the Swede on June 20th, in Berlin (Germany), guaranteed that his motivation is high to get back on track towards winning a new chance to fight for the belt. “I'm very happy to fight him in the main event of this event in Germany. I'm training, I'm fine and confident. Let’s get that belt again”, said Teixeira, in an interview with the “Portal do Vale Tudo” website. “Gustafsson is a great fighter, a top guy, one of the best in the world. This motivates me a lot to prepare well and have a great fight,” he continued.

Gustafsson's situation is not very different from that faced by Teixeira. The Swede also lost to Jones in a title fight, and, more recently, was knocked out by Anthony Johnson. Between the two fights, however, he beat Jimi Manuwa by technical knockout.
