Bader projects a knockout over Cormier, who quips: 'I think he's gone crazy'

A duel between North Americans will be the main attraction of UFC Fight Night 68, an event that will be held on June 6

Often criticized for being a bureaucratic fighter, Ryan bader wants to shake off this label once and for all in his next fight, when he will face Daniel Cormier in the main attraction of UFC Fight Night 68, which will be held on June 6 in New Orleans (USA).

The American, who hasn't won without a judge's decision in six fights, hopes to surprise everyone and knock out Cormier, thus earning the right to challenge for the UFC light heavyweight belt. “I've had a few decision wins in my last few fights, but I want to go out there and finish him. I want to give a message to everyone by knocking him out and earning the right to fight for the title,” said Bader, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.

Upon learning of Bader's statements, Cormier made light of it and mocked his opponent's opinion. “OK, I think our old man Ryan bader got crazy. Ryan, you're not going to do anything to me. I’m going to give you a beating,” wrote “DC” on his Twitter account. Twitter.

Cormier was the last challenger to Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight belt. In a fight on January 3, at UFC 182, “Bones” prevailed in the judges' decision and retained the title. Bader is coming off a victory over Phil Davis at UFC on FOX 14, also in January, overcoming his rival in the decision.
