Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Alexander Gustafson knows the category champion well, Jon Jones, as for the next challenger for the title, Anthony Johnson. The Swede, who has already been defeated by both, used his experience to give his opinion on the fight, which will be the main attraction of UFC 187, on May 23, in Las Vegas (USA).

According to Gustafsson, Jones has more weapons to win the fight and, therefore, it is his bet, despite the dangers that could be brought by Johnson. “This is difficult to give an opinion. I think Jones will win the fight because he has more strength and can be more versatile, as everyone knows. So, I think he will win this fight. But that said, 'Rumble' is a great fighter, a great person and has a heavy hand. Anything can happen in a fight. You need to hide your chin and keep your hands high. I’m very excited for this fight”, said Gustafsson, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.
Despite placing his bets on Jones' victory, Gustafsson warns of the challenger's great knockout power. “ When 'Rumble' connects, you feel it. That's what Jones needs to be careful with, his power. When he presses, he has a lot of power. He is a very dangerous light heavyweight”, he highlighted.
Gustafsson challenged Jones for the title in September 2013, and ended up losing by decision after a close fight. In January 2015, in a fight that would define the challenger for the belt, he ended up being knocked out by Johnson in the first round. Your next opponent will be Glover Teixeira, in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 69, in Berlin (Germany).
