The news that the fight between Leandro Buscapé and Drew dober, held at UFC Fight Night 62, in Rio de Janeiro, the no-contest did not please the Brazilian fighter. Buscapé showed that he disagreed with the decision of the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) and stated that episodes like this are nothing new in the world of sports.

In the second round of the fight between Buscapé and Dober, the fight's referee, Eduardo Herdy, mistakenly interrupted the action when he believed that the North American had passed out from a chokehold that, in fact, was already disengaged. Days later, CABMMA recognized the error and left the fight without result.

In an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”, Buscapé said he did not agree with the decision, but highlighted that he will not protest. “It surprises me and doesn’t surprise me at the same time. We know this wasn't the first mistake a referee has made in the UFC and it can happen in any sport. If they decided to change the result, I will not protest. I don't agree because there were several other mistakes in the past and they didn't change the result. I have a clear conscience”, said the Brazilian, who still sees himself as the true winner of the fight.

“My opinion is the same. I used the guillotine and he tried to defend himself. I watched the fight four times. You can see him holding my fist and then letting go. He was limp, and the referee stopped the fight. I said 'hit', it was the first word that came to mind at the time. It was not my fault. I made weight and fought, but this happened”, commented Buscapé.
