According to information provided by UFC president, Dana White, Dillashaw's injury occurred during training this Monday. There is still no forecast for the North American's return, so the fight has been postponed indefinitely.
This is not the first time that the rematch between Barão and Dillashaw has been postponed. The two were scheduled to face each other in August 2014, at UFC 177, but the Brazilian fell ill during the weight cut process and was replaced by Joe Soto, who faced the champion at the last minute – Dillashaw won by technical knockout. The first fight between Dillashaw and Barão took place in May last year, with the American surprising and winning the belt with a technical knockout.
With this, the main fight of UFC 186, which will be held in Montreal, Canada, should be the fight between Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi, valid for the UFC flyweight belt.
