A true story worthy of a film script takes place in the city of Seattle, in the US state of Washington. Tired of the violence and crime in his neighborhood, professional MMA fighter Ben Fodor decided to do his part in an unusual way, dressing up as a superhero to fight the bad guys.

Fodor, 26 years old, transforms into Phoenix Jones in the fight against criminals. The fighter has a professional record of five wins and one draw, having had several more fights as an amateur (17 wins and two losses, including beating former UFC fighter Cody McKenzie).
In an interview with the “SportsCenter” program, on the North American broadcaster “ESPN”, Fodor explained how he became the masked hero. “I'm like any other guy. The only difference is that I decided to make a difference and stop crime in my neighborhood,” he said.
The fighter says that an episode involving his young son, after a theft in his car, was fundamental to the emergence of Phoenix Jones. “I got closer and saw that my car window was broken and there was a lot of glass scattered across the floor. My son cut his leg with it. I picked him up and saw that there was a lot of blood coming out of his leg. I didn’t know how I was going to tell my son that he would be safe the next time we went out,” he detailed.
About to return to action at the King of The Cage event, on March 21st, Fodor hopes that a successful career in MMA will allow him to continue fighting crime in Seattle. “I've been fighting MMA on the streets, potentially suffering real consequences. So fighting in a ring is fun. It's not about making money, it's about having the lifestyle I want to have. And the fight will get me there,” he added.
