Tainara Lisboa, from Santos, made her debut on the right foot in Thailand, the birthplace of Muay Thai. The fighter faced Englishwoman Maria Thun and defeated her opponent with a unanimous referee decision, thus winning the Elite Fight Night belt, at the Baan Klang Boxing Stadium.
“Tainara has been training very hard for this moment since Brazil, so much so that she won the Brazilian, South American and sixth Show Thai titles in a period of just one month. In this short time of training here in Thailand, she has already gained the respect of all the coaches here on the field for her willpower and dedication”, says Sandro de Castro, the athlete's coach.
With the victory, the Brazilian should fight on December 5th in the Kings Cup.
