Cyborg runs over rival in 46 seconds and increases expectations for fight against Ronda

Overwhelming! Thus, one can summarize the performance of Chris Cyborg at Invicta FC 11, held in the early hours of this Saturday (28), in Los Angeles. In just 46 seconds, the Brazilian showed that she didn't feel the 18 months out of competition and defeated Charmaine Tweet by technical knockout.

The fight

As soon as the duel began, Cyborg and Tweet were uneducated and soon began exchanging blows. Stronger, the Brazilian connected with a straight right and managed a knockdown in the first few seconds. On top on the ground, Cris landed several punches on her rival who defended herself as best she could.

Confidently, Cyborg asked Charmaine to stand up. Back to the exchange, the Brazilian closed the distance, placed her rival against the bars and with another blow to the belt forced the referee to end the fight in just 46.

“This is my job, I train every day, I come to put on a show. Who knows, one day I could do it in the UFC too. My team and I trained hard for this,” said Cyborg after the triumph.

With this quick victory, the Brazilian expects to move down from the featherweight category (up to 66kg) to face Ronda Rousey, champion of the UFC's bantamweight division (up to 62 kg.), has increased significantly. Cris revealed that she will try to drop in weight to seek strength from the beautiful Ultimate champion, with whom she has already exchanged several provocations.

The other Brazilian on the Invicta FC card was not as lucky. Making her professional debut, jiu-jitsu black belt Ana Carolina Vidal started well, but was unable to leave the fighting area with victory.
