Anthony Johnson is confident that he will present an unprecedented challenge to the UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, in the fight that will win the division's belt, in May. The American, known for his great knockout power, believes that the title holder has never faced anyone who poses the same dangers as him.

Johnson participated in a question and answer session with fans in Los Angeles (USA), moments before the official weigh-in for UFC 184. Relaxed, “Rumble” analyzed his weapons in an attempt to unseat the champion and take the title. “I don't think he's ever seen anyone who hits the way I hit. Everyone knows that if I hit you, even just once, you'll go to sleep quickly. But Jon has faced the best, so he's probably seen people who come close to what I do. But he’s never faced anyone who does what I do,” he said.

At one point, a Swedish fan expressed her hurt with Johnson, as the American's last fight, in Stockholm, was a victory over the local idol. Alexander Gustafson. So, she suggested a way for Johnson to redeem himself: by beating Jones. “I promise I will do my best. All I can say is that it will be an exciting fight. I'll do my best to burn a hole in your soul, but I'll get there and fight. This is how I know how to do it,” she replied.

The fight between Johnson and Jones will be the main attraction of UFC 187, on May 23, in the city of Las Vegas (USA). On the same night, Vitor belfort returns to the UFC and challenges the middleweight champion, Chris Weidman.

Other highlights from the Q&A with Anthony Johnson:

The move to the Blackzilians academy

It was very important. I became a new person when I went to Blackzilians. I started to have the best coaches I've ever had, everything. I needed to get out of California and start over, and moving to Florida changed my life.

The delay in moving up to light heavyweight

I don't regret anything in life. If I hadn't made my mistakes at welterweight, I wouldn't be where I am today. It made me a better person, so I don't regret anything.

Fighting in Sweden vs fighting in Brazil

PUBLICITY:

The Swedish fans were incredible. Before the fight I was booed a lot, and no one was rooting for me other than myself. After the fight, I received several messages congratulating me. I was impressed. It was very different than when I went to fight in Brazil: they wanted to kill me before and they wanted to kill me after the fight (laughs).

Fight with colleagues Rashad evans e Vitor belfort?

That won't happen, they are my brothers. It doesn't make sense and there's no amount of money that will make me fight Rashad or Vitor.

The controversy of Jon Jones with cocaine

Everyone is talking about Jones' mistake. But he's human, and just like everyone else, he makes mistakes. There is no one in this auditorium who is perfect. Regardless of his mistakes, I still respect him.
