The Iowa Athletic Commission closed the case involving professional wrestler Josh Neer's assault on an Internet user and decided not to punish the athlete. According to the entity's executive director, Joe Walsh, the commission does not have the authority to punish incidents that happen inside a gym.

“We have determined that we have nothing in our rules that covers incidents that happen in a gym. Because of this, there will be no further investigations. We closed the case”, explained Walsh, in an interview with the website “TMZ”.
Neer, who has more than 50 professional MMA fights, including four stints in the UFC, released a video at the beginning of the week in which he settled the score with an internet user who had been insulting him for some time. The video shows the fighter elbowing the man, identified as Patrick Martin, several times, including kicking him in the head while he was lying on the ground.
