UFC Fight Night 61, held this Sunday (22), in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, was a night to forget for Brazilian fighters. After negative balance on preliminary card e of the defeats suffered at the beginning of the main card, Frank mir knocked out Antonio Pezão quickly in the main fight of the attraction.

Going through a delicate moment in his career, without winning since 2011 and with four consecutive defeats, Mir was not intimidated by Pezão at Ginásio Gigantinho. Aggressive, the North American hunted the Brazilian, trying to impose himself with his boxing.
Pezão managed to escape Mir's first attacks unscathed. However, shortly after, the American feinted a jab and landed a sharp left cross on Pezão's chin, who fell. Mir only had to complete the job on the ground, with punches and elbows, obtaining the victory by technical knockout at 1min40s.
The result represented the first victory for Mir, former heavyweight champion, since December 2011, when he had defeated another Brazilian, Rodrigo Minotauro. Pezão, on the other hand, continues to have a bad run of results, with three defeats by knockout and a draw in the last four fights. In the UFC, the Brazilian has a negative record, with two wins, four defeats and one draw.
With this, UFC FN 61 established itself as the event with the most underdog victories on the betting exchanges, with ten, counting all the major MMA organizations, such as Ultimate, PRIDE, Strikeforce, WEC, Dream and EliteXC.
