Brazilian Wagnney Fabiano submitted American LC Davis with an armbar and became the first featherweight champion of the International Fight League, IFL, in an event held at the Mohegan Sun casino, in the state of Connecticut.
Two other Brazilians did not have the same luck, in the heavyweight title dispute, Antoine Jaoude ended up surpassed by the American Roy Nelson by knockout at 22 seconds of the second round. Already Delson Pé de Chumbo saw Jay Hieron hit his nose in the first round, the injury prevented the Gracie Fusion black belt from continuing in the fight in the first round, and he was declared defeated by the Brazilian.
